    2011+ rear spring swap

OK, I bought some pretty nice springs from a 2015 F350 and am ready to do this. My existing springs have some of the old BF Goodrich Velvet Ride shackles - I am going to assume these are shot as they are 20 years old, so I am getting new stock shackles. Do you use the late model shackle with the...

    2011+ rear spring swap

One more question: how did you handle the top overload? by your pics, one spring has the top overload leaf and the other spring does not. My truck has the overloads on it now, are the '11+ springs with the overload leaf compatible with the upper pads on an '01 truck?

    2011+ rear spring swap

Looks like I'll be doing the 2011 rear spring swap now. I just located some pretty nice take off springs from a 2015 with 30k on them (looks about right as 95% of the paint is still on them). The guy sold the truck with the lift on it and had these leftover. It comes with the axle brackets and...

    2011+ rear spring swap

Nice work - how did you handle the emergency brake? I know PMF sells the front spring hangers to do this and the only reason I can see to buy them is for the retaining the EB in the original position.

    205/30 T4 s369 vs s364.5

    Bigfords- is that 363/73/.91?

    205/30 T4 s369 vs s364.5

This makes me wonder if the 363 SXE wouldn't be the perfect turbo for stock injectors or 160/0 AC's?

What to do with my engine and BTS transmission?

You might be running off potential buyers with terms like "stab the pedal " and "slaps the boost gauge" ...makes it sound like the treatment of the vehicle was harder on it than the accident. You can probably still get a couple hundred for it though.

    2001 7.3 4x4 needs more hp

Wheel Bearings Inc. out of Michigan if you want something that lasts like the originals. When it comes to replacement parts, some of the great names aren’t that great anymore. I am pretty sure the philosophy is “lets make it more affordable, it doesn’t need to last 10 years like the originals “

    leaf springs options

Wow, loving the 17’s there. I think wheels are going to start trending back to smaller pretty soon. We Saw a New Dodge Power Wagon at the auto show a year ago and we were all stunned that it had 16’s, but it really looked great.

    T4 - SXE Stock Injectors

I thought someone had posted some info that the 362SXE out flowed the 38R. If that were the case, it would probably be a dandy for a stock injector truck. But since everyone is raving about the 364.5 spooling/driving characteristics, I would also lean bigger, maybe to the 363SXE with the bigger...

    T4 - SXE Stock Injectors

Not a turbo guru, but I think the 362 outflows the 38r, so why not a 363? I think Swaan on this site may be a good one to chime in.

Anyone know of some high quality lug nuts?

I doubt we are talking the same thing then. If the covering ever came off of these, and I don't see that happening, you would still be left with a steel lug nut. I bought these sometime in 04 or 05 so I don't know even the brand all I know is that was after 2 sets of Dorman (stop laughing, I...

Anyone know of some high quality lug nuts?

Find some stainless steel capped lug nuts. I've had mine for over 10 years and they still look like new. They are now std on many Oem apps and have fantastic cosmetic durability.

    2004 broken front spring.

Stock springs were probably U or V codes. It will be on the sticker inside your drivers side door jamb. I would not replace with the U code as they can start sagging after just a couple of years. The V's were, generally speaking, the stock front spring on the F350 and the Excursion guys seem to...

    Starter- Powermaster or Denso?

BTW- I would gladly pay a premium price for a premium replacement part. My nuts draw up every time I see Made in China on a Motorcraft part, so needless to say it looks like I got cat nuts. Back to your original question; IMO, a quality rebuilt OEM starter would be far superior to a new Chinese...

    Starter- Powermaster or Denso?

To me, CRAP/Chinese replacement parts are a huge issue. The problem is exacerbated on older pick-ups like these because they last long and/or people tend to keep them for years (like me!). My first starter lasts 13 years and I went through 3 in a year until I got a good one. I hear this same...

    Another T4 thread

Hmmm - does anyone make an adapter so you can run this 38R on the T4 setup?
