After reading that write-up, I have determined I'm going to pass on doing this mod. I live in a place where i will rarely if i ever actually need my GPR. If the temp outside is colder than 32 degrees, its usually only for 2 or 3 hours.
Thanks for the link to the write-up though.
I'm still kinda new, so I haven't figure out what all this stuff is. Got a link or details on what exactly the LED mod is? I'd assume its an LED wired into the GPR to tell when the relay is closed, but I'm not for sure.
Just a suggestion (i know i'm new around here, so it may not be heard), but how about using a chat program that makes some noise when people send messages. Such as FlashChat.
If memory serves me correctly, Chuck Norris died in Way of the Dragon. Got his ass handed to him by Bruce Lee. Where can I get the Bruce Lee of relays? lol
Will the stancor relay be a direct swap? Or will I need to change any of the connectors on the wiring?
I can't buy plow relays off the shelf. It would have to be an internet order part. In 26 years, it has snowed at my house 1 time. Roughly 1/4" of snow hit the ground.
Awesome. That's good news, I suppose. After I get everything running in tip-top shape, I'll look into installing it. Don't wanna throw it on though, until I'm sure everything else is in good shape.
And thanks for all the welcomes, guys.
Any difference between this, and a starter solenoid? It looks just like the starter solenoid on every ford truck i have... and I have half a dozen of those laying around.
