I know the turbo is different from the 03-04 than the 05-07.
I think that 03-04 have a different hpop and a different EGR.
Maybe someone with more experience can chime in.

03 had 10 blade turbine wheels and said wheel was a little larger I believe, but not by much. 05+ had 13 blades

03-04 had a different hpop , with no stc fitting.

03-04 had 18mm dowels in the heads...05+ had 20mm.

03-04 had a different style oil rail too I believe.

03-04 came with a metal cold side pipe and shorter radius intake elbow

There's something supposed to be different about 03-04 & 05+ injectors, but I've had injectors built from 03-04 cores in 05+ engines

There are differences in the 03-04 and 05-07 EGR's, right?
I remember reading it somewhere...
Something about one being circular and one being square?
I could also just be blowing steam.

I know the egr were different as we're turbo 03-04 same as pedestal but is there a difference from 05-07 besides the 07 had a vain cut in the turbo to help with gumming up are the heads from 05-07 different and if a truck was built 06/05 is it a 06 motor or 05 valve cover says 06

Don't forget the icp on the 05-07's on the passenger side valve cover vs. the 03-04 having them on the hpo pump. Also no crossover on the intake manifold on later years.

-The 03-04.5 turbo pedestal is different
-03-04.5 had the round EGR cooler
-Different HPOP
-05+(presumably the late 04s as well?) have the STC issue
-Engines built after Jan 06 have the 20mm dowels(I believe it's Jan, the 07 trucks are 20mm)
-ICP location is different
-CAC pipe is plastic on the 05+ engines
-As stated, turbo is different

There may be more, but that's a all I got on the top of my head.
