My old man's 6.0 has a nasty misfire on cold start, but goes away when warm also.

The truck runs rough, and starts rough and has a small oil leak down the back of the motor.

Truck has about 120k , gogo tunes, afe intake, and a tb exhaust .

Does this sound like injector stiction?

Any ideas on the oil leak?

What year 6.0.

Confirmed single cylinder missor not?
Could be a stiction issue.

The oil leak(if 2003) will prolly be the icp sensor in the hpop cover which could also cause a hard start rough idle.

Sounds exactly like what mine was doing. Got the new snake oil from GRacing and it completely went away, which led me to think stiction was my issue.

Well I Got in the truck this am to start it and it indeed runs like ass when cold. I'll have to pick up some revx to give it a shot.

About how Long till I start to notice a difference? Do I have to run rev x on every oil change?

I would take a look at the ICP sensor FIRST. That probably needs replacing.

I would also have the batteries load tested. If one is bad, replace both. THEN test the FICM after you verify the batteries are good.

Have you tried scanning it for trouble codes?

If you're having issues with cold starts, get the batteries tested first, then test the FICM. Those two items are 90% of the issues with 6.0 cold starts. I start mine without issue down towards 0* without being plugged in, no smoke on start up. Obviously plugging it in helps, but if you don't have that option you shouldn't have to worry about your truck starting or not, and running like a pig until it's up to full operating temp.

Sounds like a new FICM is what I'll need to test.

Truck shakes and has a mis until its at operating temps then runs great, no questions asked.
