04' pass. side up pipe on 06'

I just welded the EGR hole up on a 04' up pipe (no scoop) and installed it on my 06' while I was doing the 4" MBRP exhaust. Everything lined up and worked great. Then today I was reading an old thread and someone was claiming you can't use a 04' up pipe on a 05-07'. Anybody know anything about this? The install went great and I put about 130 miles on the truck after the install last night with no issues. Just curious.

Na no worries man they are the same besides the scoop if i remember right. But welded shut your good to go.

Egrs are an easy fix. Just don't forget o-rings

Was this my piece? The up pipe I sent you was from my 07 engine. I still have the 04 pipe

It had to be an older up pipe cause there wasn't any scoop.

Uh, I don't think so. The EGR is welded closed and its installed on the truck with no exhaust leaks. It's stayin' there, but I'll sell you my 06' up pipe!LOL
