while driving, it drives great, just while idiling it will die just like someone reached over and turned off the key. no studder or anything. rarely it will rev up but only has happened a couple times. it dies at almost every red light or stop sign if i sit there too long. if it keeps moving its fine.
i assumed it was the ficm so i ordered one. its supposed to be here tomorrow, but i also ordered an insight cts to check some things that my sct tsx wont check. well, ficm voltage doesnt drop below 47 while cranking but fluctuates between 46 and 49 volts while idling. didnt see it drop below that under wot. icp pressure is ~580 at idle. fluctuates around there. iirc around ~570-590. anything else i should check? i got an ficm performance code a couple weeks ago but hasnt came back up since. how else should i check the ficm voltage?

i reached in there and tried to see if they were really loose but no dice. its too hot at the moment. i would check tomorrow but tomorrow the new ficm will be here anyways. just wondering if there is anything else i should monitor and keep an eye on. and is 570-590psi for icp too low?

Your FICM sounds like it could be starting to go. But also check batteries and alternator. Since you're dying at an idle, this may mean your alternator is very weak. A bad alternator/batteries can simulate a bad FICM....and also destroy FICMs.

i replaced my ficm (which was bad) with a bpd 6-phase ficm and while it runs better, it still dies at idle. it never happened until i had the headstuds put in.

Check over all your wiring good, make damn sure the 3 ficm harnesses are plugged in good. Could you have bent an electrical pin during installation?
