06 heat issue

Hey guys my buddys 06 350 6.0 started randomly blowing cold air while the heat is on. It is a lariat so it has the climate control. We had the heat set on max (its 26 degrees out now) and out of no where it started blowing cold then a minute later back to hot. It did this randomly while driving. Sounds like a blend door issue to me but figured I would ask if anybody had this happen.

Have you checked your coolant levels? Mine did that a few years ago, it turned out it was just low on coolant, topped off the coolant and the problem went away,

Truck has proper updated coolant level. Truck was studded, deleted with a new oil cooler and coolant 15k ago.

Might be a blend door issue....mine did that when it had bad head gaskets.

Might be a blend door but you would hear that. My guess is theres an air bubble in the cooling system.

did this problem just start? or has it been on going since the egr delete?

ended up being a chaffed wire for the blend door. Would short out and go to cold. Thanks for all the help guys
