First post on here. I am a member on a few other forums and found this one and really like it. Anyhow, found shavings in fuel filter housing and fuel cooler. Truck started idling funny a few weeks ago. Wouldn't start due to low rail pressure so I went ahead and ordered ford parts to put in. Hpfp, lpfp, injectors and lines, fuel cooler, fpr, and ported rails. Running ******** street tune on sct9625or. Finally installed the Egr ****** and elbow instead of just turning off. Did the job cab on. Dropped fuel tank, cleaned all fuel lines, and cleaned out injector return passages in heads, and cleaned out fuel bowls. Also, went ahead and removed the intake and washed out all the sludge and rerouted the ccv. Going to fuel it up,tomorrow and start it. Hopefully everything goes well. Will keep posted.

Fired it up after bleeding after a while. Will run smooth for a few minutes then it seems like it loses prime. Maybe it's just air. Any thoughts.

Finally got it running. Ran good for about an hr, took it for a ride down the street. Then started missing then it ran away. Tried killing it but it was too late. Ran all the oil out the exhaust. Guess an injector hung up.

Yeah. Trying to figure out what I'm going to do. Funny thing is that the last 3 times I changed the fuel filters it was a pain to prime. It would have what sounded like a fuel knock for a minute then go away and be fine until the next servicing 5000 miles later. Did the same thing this time before the runaway condition. Anyone have any ideas on what could have caused this. Thanks.

Oil has diesel. Pretty sure I got a bad injector out of the box. I should have time tomorrow to check it out.
