Figured i'd start a thread here in case anybody else is into sleds, new or old. Also as a way for me to sorta keep a timeline of everything. What i've got is a 71 TNT 440, pulled it out of a buddies barn yesterday with his tractor. I'm basically fixing up the sled for him(and occasionally me) to ride. Been sitting since 03, and was covered in dirt, mouse ****, peacock ****, and junk. Cleaned her up some and brought it home. Everything checked out in decent shape, 150psi in both cylinders, only real issue is spark. :( Messed with it last night and it ran for prolly a total of 30 seconds then died, and that was all i could get out of it. Tonight i messed with it some more and got it to fire up and let it idle for a while, then gave her some fuel. At the moment its only firing on the mag side, PTO is cold and has no spark. It'll idle fine but once you start giving it fuel it'll backfire somethin fierce, covering me and the sled in 9 year old gas. Babied it and was able to get the RPM's up enough to engage the primary, and it moved!! So as it sits i have a halfway running and ride-able sled, with only a few hours of my time in it. Honestly i think that if i clean up the clutches, make sure all the boggie wheels spin, and get it firing on both cylinders it'll be a nice little sled. Track isn't in the greatest shape but i'm praying it holds. Also have a buddy who has an old sled of some sorts, think its a Doo or Deere that i can us lining up sometime. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_Oi3hpYpSQ&feature=youtu.be
