I have for sale the passenger side up-pipe from my early build 04 6.0. This up pipe already has no scoop from the factory. This is the mod that many of you guys do on your 05-07 trucks to ****** the scoop from your later up pipes to increase flow. This pipe is $104 new from ford. Asking 40 plus the ride. Save you the time and hassle of trying to sawzall or grind the scoop out of yours.

here is a picture of how restrictive the scoop is if you have to run the factory parts for emissions.

I don't think the early up-pipes will fit the late model EGR coolers. On the early trucks with the round cooler, the up-pipe has a long curved spout on it. On the later models with the square coolers, the spout is shorter and sticks straight out the side. If I remember right, Dieselsite used to sell an up-pipe with a Ford part number that was a late style pipe but had no scoop. I always wondered if that was a late '04 pipe after they switched to the square cooler.

I had read a few posts before posting this for sale. it was my understanding that the flanges where the pipe mate were the same I saw a few people reporting that they are the early up pipes on their 05-07 trucks.
