we are getting ready to buy this truck anything i should be looking for motor wise. the first thing i did look at was the coolant reservoir and look real clean inside and out.motor looks spot free of leaks.

Hook it to a diagnostic machine and look at the IPR percentage.... Should be high teens low 20s at idle

And if it's lower or higher then those numbers what does it mean

Service and use history is key-- in my experience of shopping for 6.0s (not owning one), most trucks I looked at had major repairs done by that time/mileage (EGR cooler, deletes, HGs, hpops, injectors, etc) and most ran tuners which helps promote EGR/HG issues. If not, this should be a $10K or below truck to help taking the risk ... lots of deals to be had.

I definitely liked driving them and much nicer than the OBS... Ive taken a brief break from looking, but hopefully this one works out good for ya!
