I have a 2004 6.0 that has a squealing noise similar to a pulley going bad. It only does it at idle or when I rev it up to 1200 rpm then it goes away. Its coming back by the fire wall. I haven't checked the up pipes for leaks yet but I was just wondering what people thoughts were. I had it happen a couple times before but it went away. I thought it was my throw out bearing in my tranny but my tranny took a crap so I have a brand new zf6 with a DD south bend in it. The noise started yesterday when I gave it wot from a stop and then I heard it. I can hear it when I leave it in gear and slowing down it seams to be louder then, especially when it gets into the lower rpms. Also when it happened before it only did it when the motor got up to temp but when it was cold it didn't do it. Now its back and very annoying and I am just wondering if anyone would know what it is. I can give more info on the upgrades done to the truck if needed.
Thanks to anyone who helps or has any thoughts.
