2005 abd light on, loss of power, speedometer stops working.

trucks has good power,but think the abs light is on from replacing u joint on front axle, anyways ill be driving and the speedometer will stop working and truck feels like it losses power, then after so long or by restarting the truck it goes back to working and truck runs fine. any ideas? stopped working going up a mountain with a loaded trailer this morning and the truck had no power.

Vehicle speed is picked up by the rear diff abs sensor. I would start there
