2006 F350 Speedometer/odometer constantly running

My 2006 F 350 recently has developed a condition where the speedometer and odometer are constantly running if the key is on. Has anyone had this problem? I sent the cluster out to be rebuilt and they found nothing wrong with it. I also replaced the sensor in the rear end and it still is acting up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Describe "constantly running" a tad more. Are you saying they show the truck moving at (XX)MPH and the odometer is increasing in mileage?

Yes that is correct. Truck is sitting still and the speedometer is moving through the range as well as the odometer continues to add mileage while sitting still.

Never heard of it. Id just bite the bullet and get a new speedo and get it calibrated

i would be worried

your truck is going to have crazy miles if it is indeed staying on like that
so your going to have to amend the title to odometer = not actual miles if u sell it and it will impact resale $ and market

your cluster should not be powered up and should need a signal from the VSS to have the speedo and odo working

this sounds like a CLUSTER ( see what I did there ? LOL )
honestly I would take it to a Dealer because they may be able to reset this back to a known mileage after rectifying the issue ?
