2007 Ford F350 6.0 No Boost Condition
Initial condition
No power, tons of smoke, tons of oil in the intake path, and Underboost codes
What we did..
Had a turbo from an 03 that I rebuilt
Rebuilt Turbo (seal bushing o-ring kit, VGT fins, Compressor Wheel and Shaft Wheel)
*Made sure the VGT piston was indexed properly 180 deg rotation on the Unison Ring
*Tried 3 different VGT solenoids
*Demanded the VGT open and closed, we can here the difference in turbo sound
Cleaned inter cooler and all intake piping
Swapped out the MAP sensor
Cleaned EGR Valve
Cleaned the MAF sensor
Unbolted the Catalytic converter
Ran it with no air filter
Using Torque Pro; VGT stays at 85% unless we let off peddle quickly then it will flick down to 60% then back to 85%.
HPOP, FICM, IPR, ICP, ICP Sync all within normal parameters
Sometimes we will get a cylinder contribution code on misc cylinders.
I am at a complete loss..
Next were are going to inspect the inter-cooler again for leaks, and I guess find another turbo to try
