I have a 2011 super cab long bed with 53k miles on it. None of the dealerships in my are (central pa) are delete friendly. My question is if I've gone this far on my stock turbo will it be alright to tune it without it failing I've noticed a trend through reading that a lot of the guys with turbo failures have more than 1 and they are happening frequently. Any help would be appreciated thanks guys.

Yeah that's what I got out of it but then again it's the same if you keep the EGR stuff on there also. So damned if you do and damned if you don't haha.

Yeah I mean a turbo replacement is in my future but it's not something I want to throw 3k at yet. I'm just worried I'll throw the deletes and mini maxx on and poof she'll blow and I'll be sol

I don't have nearly anywhere close to your mileage ( I'm at 6400) but I just feel the same as you just because it would be my luck.

Will the wicked wheel adversely affect your turbo or impact the speed at all?

Any guys have high mileage tuned 2011s

my buddy has a Job 1 '11 with 145k on it. been running H&S 175 since 60k. And it's on the old tuning with the higher boost tables. I've told him to update, but he likes the way it runs. Pulls a 3 horse trailer with living quarters regularly. Pulls a skid steer and other equipment often enough.

There are probably tons of similar stories out there, but those guys aren't running to internet forums because of the problems they're having. They're out enjoying their trucks

Yeah this is true. Didn't think about that come to think of it there are a lot of guys on here looking for monster power and whatnot. All I'm looking for is dome extra pull better fuel efficiency and longevity.

If you don't run the truck really hard, I wouldn't worry about the turbo. I grandpa my truck around daily and tow the trucks max pretty often. I'm not worried about it as I'm always keeping an eye on boost. H&S's updated tunes keep the turbo from overspeeding like they used to.

Well just a status update everything is ordered and ready to go on the truck and the check engine light just came up haha. Noticed a significant loss in power. But hey better now than later. Will get codes pulled tomorrow and go from there.
