just had the truck ******d of egr/*** and had an exhaust leak under the turbo that melted the harness. had a tow tune installed and truck was running great.

fast forward a couple thousand miles and was towing up a Mtn about 20k pounds when the truck started to run hot. by the time I stopped there was a massive cloud of grey smoke.

now the truck idles weird from the turbo, the wires are melted around it and it even melted some of the insulation on firewall. I had a leak that was fixed due to the wires burn up the first time. This is a single vane turbo not a vgt is there any reason of why this would keep happening or what would cause all the melted wires.

The truck was worked on by a tech that works for Ford. he has a side business. Also where would be the best place to get a new Turbo? should I buy a used one or maybe switch to an aftermarket

I had a small exhaust leak in mine, deleeted and tooned. HEAVY.... 30 k.... Jason saw that there were some melted wires in that same area, and replaced them. That little turbo doesnt like the mountains... I put a 75 mm out front, and never had those problems again.

I have a very well used 2013 turbo that I ll give you, you pay the shipping.... It has 278,000 miles on it, but the last 128,000 had that 75 breathing into it. If you just need it to run. If you can swing it, i would just get with Morgan and get the updated one...

As far as I know, just the turbo was different, so I would imagine that the 15 turbo would fit... But, I am not 100% up on all the differences. Nor am I up on the differences of a commercial or non commercial, honestly.

So after tearing everything apart the bearing had been going for a little while there was oil all caked everywhere inside of the motor on the manifolds. it didnt show any signs before blowing.

Does anybody know of a good aftermarket tow turbo that will work with the chassis Cab trucks
