300 amp DC power alt

Considering an upgrade to a 300 amp DC power alt.
Along with upgrading the wiring.
Does anyone have pictures of upgraded wiring for an alternator?
Or advice on doing this upgrade?

Not really sure exactly what upgraded wiring you are talking about, but here is a cruddy pic of my DC 300 on my 7.3 from a long time ago. I just added the larger gauge positive from the alt to the battery and it seems to have worked well for the past couple of years.

Was thinking 4/0 wiring to replace the oem wiring off the alt. Plus adding a wire to the passenger side battery for instant charging as ficmrapair recommends.

Have fun with the 4/0 wire. I made the mistake of using it for battery and starter cables once. Its a pain in the a$$ I would think 1/0 would be more then enough maybe even 2 gauge.
