My original Michelins threw chunks really badly. Huge pieces of tire. That tire imho is not up to the power of a 6.7 and the turbo hit and 1 wheel drive. I've got a truetrac in the rear of my truck, but also put new tires on at the same time. So it could be tires, but I think the cause of my subsequent tires NOT chunking is the truetrac giving the power to both wheels all the time. I went thru a set of nitto terra grapplers in a 35" on 22". They were looking pretty slim when I replaced them w 30,000 on the tires. They still looked flat, no chunking or anything and they rode just fine. Got a new set of nitto terra grapplers, same size, but the G2 this time. Same performance, but the tread seems to be lasting a little longer. These have 30k mi on them now and are beginning to look thin. My only complaint about these tires is they are not 85psi tires, so you do have to watch your weights and balance (like at the CAT Scales) to make sure you don't overload the tires. I don't live in the frozen north, so I can't really comment on their snow performance, but all around everywhere else, they are great tires if you are on the street most of the time.
