I have a 6.0 with the 5r110 trans and driving down the road it always is shifting In and out of OD plus I wanna make the truck a racey street truck and quick at the track now the truck is on 37's with a 6 inch lift. My options are drop tire size to 35's keeping stock gear drop the truck back to stock and put some 420's on it or keep it how it sits and run 4.30 gearing. Thoughts? I love the way it looks now that's why I'm asking about gearing. Also I just lifted and stuff about 6 months ago so I don't want that money to go to waste unless I have too. Let me hear your guys thought on this project. Truck my 548 on Dyno and James Barder told me to re gear to 4.10 4.30 or 4.88, or run 35's with stock gears, or lowing it back down to stock.

I still think you'll get sick of the 37s eventually..... Keep that in mind with whatever you end up doing. Gears can compensate for tire height but not weight.

If you do 4.30s you are committing to at least a 35" tire imo.

I love the way my big tires suck. LOL

4.30's on 37's will put you close to stock rpms / mph. I had 3.73's with 37's for a few months and hated it.

True I was thinking of running these 37's till they wear out then lower it back down. Just kinda sucks feels like I just put the darn thing on. Oh well we shall see. I love the looks I get from people in my truck. But the guys at mpd told me to handling and performance difference you'll feel with small tires it crazy

If you're chasing hp numbers or time slips, the big tires have to go. I have around 100k miles of seat time on 37's and wouldn't change a thing....other than some Amp steps. LOL

I did 4.88s on my last truck with 37s per several suggestions and it was way too much. Just a note. I'm going to 38s with 4.30s on the new truck because why not have 700hp and 175lbs of rotating weight on every corner. Haha

I run 4.30 and 37's. @ 70mph it turns 2050 rpm which is almost exactly the same as the stock tires and 3.73. With 35's it spins about 2250rpm which would be about the same as a stock tire and 4.10.
I have run 38's and it drops the rRpm about 150 compared to the 37's and ends up about the same as a 285 and 3.73.
