Wanted to hear some feedback on what exhaust housing guys with the 468 fmw are running. I currently have the 1.10 with my 250/100s. Truck runs strong, but I always find myself wondering what the 1.0 or .90 housing would be like. When just driving around town like normal, I wish the spool up would come a little sooner in the rpms. This is with an auto trans.

.90 would give you the quicker spool but your backpressure would be higher, I'd go with the 1.0 so you can keep you backpressure in check.

What injectors were you running with that setup?

Unlimited Diesel 400cc/200% Hybrids

Which boost gauge was backpressure? Top one?

Yepper, top one drive pressure, bottom manifold boost.

That's with a manual right?

Yep, ZF-6 with 35", 3.73.

How do you like you're new turbo setup

I think the S467.7 FMW 178855 is the best all around single for the $$$ you can buy for the 7.3. The GTX4294R hits a bit harder on top, but spools about the same as the S467.7 w/ 1.10 AR exhaust housing. Cruising EGTs unloaded/loaded are nearly identical. I'd use the $$$ difference between a $1350 S467.7 FMW and a GTX42 for rods and still have cash left over towards a nitrous kit.

Seeing videos like that makes me want to try 200% nozzles.

May just have to go with a 1.0 housing to help with around town manners. It's a blast on the highway, but wish it spooled a little lower around town.

I've been considering this over compounds fro a while. It's one of the reasons I never pushed Pius harder than I did to get the atmo turbo.

How would you compare this turbo set up to a compound set up?

Nothing really compares to compounds does it :)

I think Jdub had it right on his truck once upon a time....responsive quick spooling 500+ hp 200% nozzle gqssb truck...with one of these as the atmospheric turbo when he wanted to dial it up.
