Is there a difference between an early 6.4 planetary and a late like 2010 planetary?

Yep.
08 job 1 and 2 have a 4 pinion planetary, 08 job 3 have a 5 pinion.
09-10 have the 5 pinion planetary.
Guess what job my truck ended up being :fustrate:

Yeah, couldn't find another planetary gear or a hole 5 pinion planetary assembly in the time frame I had.
so it went back together without it.

I was told it was overkill for my power level anyways.
