Truck is a 2007, went to drive it last week and it would hang in 2nd and delay shift into 3rd. Parked it for a week and we drove it today and it would hardly shift out of 1st. It eventually through a DTC and came back as Shift solenoid D. Looking for an opinion, this truck has had a suncoast in it for 3 years and has taken a beating from the drag strip, to pulling a sled at about 600-700 HP. We are going to take the pan off this weekend and check the solenoid, is it worth using a Suncoast direct solenoid? And do you think we should rebuild and "refresh" steels and frictions since this truck will be seeing twins and internals in the near future? Or just see what happen when we swap out solenoids?
