6.0l y pipe cracked

Ok, I've had it with this loud noise and low fuel milage! How hard is it to replace a cracked y pipe on an 06 psd? Also is it a dealer only item?

It's a tedious PITA, but nothing is very difficult about it. Just time consuming and awkward angles you have to lay at.

There are other replacements out there I believe. I think Innovative sells something and maybe Dozers Diesels just came out with something? Not sure if they include the y-pipe or not though.

Perfect time to do a EGR delete. It is a PITA, but not impossible. Extra competent person will go a long way.

hardest part is breaking the manifold to pipe bolts loose. I just torch em and its only an hour or two job... Yank turbo, yank pipes, BAM

I just soaked mine with penetrating oil the night before, and they were no problem at all.
