All things being equal...would it make more sense to run this engine stock or run it being "intelligently" modified? Modified being items such as full exhaust, intake, EGR block-off, tuner and anything else I've forgotten. 95% of the planned mileage will be pulling a 16.5K trailer.

A tuned and deleted truck will run great, but then again so will a stock one. If you are all over the country and this is just a tow pig if you leave it stock it can get fixed at the nearest dealer with out any issues. They preform great stock and a little better yet tuned. Deleting is not a must with the 6.7 like it is with the 6.4

I agree.....in fact I am still trying to decide if I want to tune at all as I had kind of decided to run stock power with deletes ......but if I am going to do that then why tune at all?
This thing feels like my 6.0L with a 100hp street tune that is tow friendly and I dont really feel like any more power is needed IMO.
