My truck will not start with the chip in. The glow plug and check engine lights stay on and it cranks, but won't fire... With the chip out it fires up fine. I put my other chip in it to see if the first one was bad, and it did the same thing. Could it be the PCM? Cause I have no idea...

I don't think they're TOO clean... I only ever cleaned them the one time I installed the chip. It was weird, the night before it ran just fine, when I went to warm it up the next morning it wouldn't start

Take the PCM apart and clean it that way, after your done get a lint free rag with electrical contact cleaner and wipe off the contacts. We've had many customers come come back with the same problem or no start sometimes. All it took was some contact cleaner to remove the residue from the coating and crank..crank....BOOM, fired up every time:D Parts store about 8 bucks a can.

What they said, just enough crud to cause a problem, make sure you look at the actual chip to, sometimes it transfers.
