I think I would check compression.
Wouldn't catch me with ether anywhere near a new/rebuilt engine.
I'm sure he's sprayed it before.

The 6.4 we built for a guy was done like that. Put it in, check all fluids, grabbed a weightbox and drug it all over the countryside. It set the tone for that motor.

I mean I think it's something to do with fuel I'm going to pay extra attention to how it acts this week and if there's something up I'll investigate deeper. Engine was just rebuilt about 5000 miles ago from previous owner who had receipts to prove what was done to the truck

Curious about the shop that rebuilt the engine...
And what is detailed on the bill...

regardless.. bottom line is that you shouldn't be having those problems unless you have over 100k on that motor..

I'm not sure the extent of the rebuild. I'm guessing it was a full rebuild as it costed 8200 but I could be wrong it has 160cc injectors and a bigger turbo on it I think I'm positive on the injectors I'm not sure would have to ask him

Just curious. How do you know when your icp sensor is bad? Sorry if that's a stupid question

oil in the sensor is an indication that it is going bad but not necessarily shot.. it will be shot sooner or later if there is oil in it.. id replace it.. get motorcraft parts only.. even with it unplugged it should start so that might not have been the issue..

Well if I clean out the inside of the connector with a rag to get the oil out will it be okay?

How long did it set before you bought it?
Mine sat for six weeks, once, and took some cranking to fire it off...
