Have a customer who has been having trans problems and wants me to put a new trans in his truck but something isnt adding up to me. Its on and off whether it works or not. And it has 9 codes and he said it has had up to 12 before. Ive never had one throw that many before. Its normally just one or 2. This is making me think its not a mechanical problem.
fluid looks fine/smells fine.
truck is a 05 6.0 with Custom tunes, thats it.
Truck will run fine some times others it will just rev up when in gear. you pull over and turn it off and restart and its fine again.
I would hate to swap a trans for this guy and it not fix it.

P2702 trans friction element c range performance

P2700 trans friction element a range performance
P1744 Torque convertor clutch system performance or mechanically stuck off
P0762 shift solenoid C performance or stuck on
p0761 Shift solenoid C performance or stuck off
p0741 TCC system performance torque convertor slip greater than expected.
P0700 trans control system malfunction
