97 7.3 wont start

Driving on highway on the aft tank, i know i was getting close to empty. Starting to get loss of power as expected . I switched over waiting for the engine to take over and it stalled. I drained the fuel bowl and inspected the fuel filter. The fuel filter has about 400 miles on it. Reinstalled and tryed to start. No joy. Wait to start light comes on and no check engine light. I did notice thst I didnt have rpm movement while cranking. I removed and installed new cps. No joy. Checked all fuses.....inside and under hood. I did have alittle bit of oil inside my icp sensor pins but I cleaned it out. I reinstalled that and no joy. Checked it again and no oil inside icp connector. I put about 3 gallons back in the aft tank and tryed starting engine in both front and aft tanks with no joy. Any thoughts?

Fuel tank pickup could've broke off and now you have junk in the lines. Gonna need more than 4 gal anyways.
Is the fuel bowl filling?

No engine light is normal. It just barely flashes when you turn the key on.

Happened to my 95. The fuel pump quit on me. Check the fuel bowl, if it is full, check the 30A fuse under the hood. If the fuse is blown, fuel heater probable shorted out.
