abs signal question for 05

Does anyone have access to info or know what type of signal the abs module sends to the pcm for the speed signal? In super dutys the abs module generates the speed signal from the rear vss and then sends it to the pcm.what I'm wondering is if I can skip the abs part and send a signal directly from the vss to the pcm..
