Maybe a silly question but, has anyone tried removing the air to water intercooler and using air to air conventional intercooler? If so what did you use and any benefit?

doesnt become any advantage until 1000+ hp. and its incredibly difficult to fit without notching the frame.

Might be me but that air to water looks way too small to be effective. Just curious because I wouldn't know anything about big horse pressures.

it's effective enough for stock power , hence why we make a much bigger one ;)

Craig has done a few, on the race truck, and a few other higher HP builds. Mike is correct, it can be a PITA to get everything fit properly. but it works great!
