I always wanted them and when I finally saved up enough for a set I decided they were too bland and went with another wheel. I still wonder if I should have pulled the trigger.

Im not sure what niche of truck owner they are for? They look nice but I was the not so happy owner of two sets of Welds back in the day. Too much effin work for a daily driver. Now maybe some powdercoated ones would be.ok.

Idk, im digging my matte black fuels. Wipe em with my chamois and done.

Exactly, and at half the price. Not knocking AF's at all. Maybe when I grow up and keep my stuff clean I'll get a set :D

To break my bad habit of derailing, this'll be my last post, but you pretty much need to be committed to cleaning. I dont mind washing my truck when I get home at night but a couple hours of scrubbing, drying, and polishing wheels is bs on a truck. Last set of welds I had were 18x14 typhoon and they sucked to clean.

The idea was that the wheel wouldn't be trashed from pitting Ect. My chrome wheels are pretty much ruined already .

My bmfs were the easiest wheel I have ever had but I'm over the black wheels

Polished aluminum is the way to go if you don't want black. None of the chrome on the market is going to hold up. I love my welds and don't mind polishing them bc the outcome is awesome. Plus if you keep the wheels clean there is really minimal polishing. But you can have the pop of a chrome wheel without ever worrying about pitting.

I used some poor boys world wheel sealant on the welds I just got. Goes on nice and they have been rained on a few times already. And the water seems to roll off them pretty well. The rest I can wipe off with a microfiber

I use that stuff on my welds. Works great but it's never going to be as maintenance free as a black wheel. Griots garage synthetic sealant works great as well.

I'm running the recon series SS AF wheels. they are the polished ones. I've polished them 1 time in the year I have owned them. Other than that I just wash them with the truck. I daily drive mine for construction, I go down Nasty gravel roads when I'm headed to the ranch. I've pretty much abused the **** out of my wheels, they look new once I polished them. I need to do it again when I get the truck back. And I'm gonna try some sealer as well. But so far I've been super happy with my wheels, and from here on out, my trucks will have them. I'm sold on the wheel and the quality of them.

I own a set American Force Recon SS in textured black and love them. I'm not sure how you would determine if its worth it but I'd buy them again. One thing I do like is that I haven't seen anyone else with my wheels.

That's the thing I don't see any around here st all I'm sure the price drives that away

Powder coat can chip I'm sure that would be a mess down the road.

Living in wyoming I imagine would limit how much time out off the year you can run them. If I had AF wheels I wouldn't dare run them here in the winter with the calcium, brine, and old JD they spray on the road.
