I'm not usually one to complain about the mpgs but I can't figure out why I'm getting such bad mpg. I know my brakes are not sticking, the truck is tuned and I drive it reasonable, I'm the highway running 80 I averaged 13.8 and my most recent milage was 11.3 around town but also some idling while hunting.

My main question is could my injectors be causing the bad mpg? All but 2 are stock and the truck had 190,000 miles.

I also thought I might try a ficm tune to see if it will help any.

What are your rpm's @ 80? My 6.0 seems to like 2000 to 2250 rpm for the best mileage. Once I start going over 2250 the mileage drops pretty fast.

Fuel filters were changed 6k miles ago. I do maintenance religiously. At 80 I'm at 2100 rpm.

There isnt a truck on the planet that gets good milage at 80mph. Lol
I bet at 65-70 youll get a lot more out of the fuel.
Im very skeptical of guys claiming 18-20 mpg. Realistically imo 15-17 is about what most 6.0's actually get.

13-14 is where im at if im driving like an ass, 16 when nursing it.

Ok that makes me feel better, I don't really mind that I get 13-14 but if people are really getting 18 then how in the hell can I lol.

I agree. Don't see how guys can get 18 mpg. I just changed my fuel filters last week along with my oil filter following a change and are seeing 14mpg.

I got 19.2 hand calculated highway no ac and no cruise control Looney wild track.

My mileage plummets when I use cruise control.

Best ever was 15 doing 65 mph, rapidly dropped from 70 and on. All cruise control.

In town, hand calculated, I'm at 10 mpg no matter what.

Running Sinister tow/performance tune, 35" tires and regularly maintained.

Honestly, in my old 2wd eclb 6 speed with 3.55 gears I saw as good as 22, hand calculated on a trip from Texas to Illinois. I had a hard time believing it myself.

Normally I get 12-14 running 80. Depends what the weather is doing.

If the weather is perfect, no wind and I hold 65 I've seen 19.1. 65 not 66 not 67.
Running 75 no wind Ive seen 16.7 once.
