Shhhhh.....having the wife there when someone else says your alternator is no good, and you need to replace it......that there is a "you get to buy something for your truck again, and it's cuz he said so...not because you just want to spend money on it..."

its at 12.6v at idle or right after you shut the truck off?

Truck shut off...fans still run for 30 seconds...voltage was 12.50vdc

After fans shut off, voltage climbs back up to, and settles at 12.60 vdc.

I bought a 185amp DC power alt., hadn't had any issues yet! Paired with dual red top optimas

did the op get his figured out.... i lost track and thought extended power was the op....

battery's for me and i recommend to everyone are the die hard platinum p2's cheaper then the oddysy battery but there the exact same thing with different labels. didnt know that my alternator took a sh!t and in the dead of minnesota winter my truck ran for two days like that.

I just got back from some intown driving.
Parked truck, popped hood, measured 13.32vdc engine running.
Shut fans off only, 13.6vdc

I really don't think anything is wrong with my alternator... Yet.

with the truck on it should stay closer to 14 v.... last time my alt took a dump it wouldnt get above 13.6v
