I went to sign the papers and pick-up our new 03 6.0 excursion from the dealer tonight. between the time they started it and drove it up front, the "check gages" light came on and the gage had no oil pressure. (It had been fine during my five test drives.) I know there must be oil pressure or it would not run. Is it most likely the pressure switch went bad, and/or is it possible the oil pressure is so low that it won't activate the switch? Would it still run if it were that low? (runs perfect). Also, the gage does move very slightly when cycling the key. I have no other reason to believe there is an actual issue with the oil pressure. If they replace the sensor tomorrow and the gage comes up, is it good to go, or do I need to measure the actual oil pressure?
