Was comming back from 150 mile trip. Pulled in to drop a buddy off and noticed batt light on. Kicked the Edge over to batt voltage and it was at 10.7 volts at the time. Made it home and voltage was down to 10 volts.

Well chit, altenator went bad. Put batts on charger, yanked off alt and took back to Oreilly's (lifetime warr) They tested and it tested good 14.6 volts all three times. Well chit again. Check voltage on wire going to alt 12 volts (batt charger still on) Put alt back on fired up truck 12.8 volts at alt and batteries. Charger disconnected same voltage.

Going to check charging voltage tommorrow. Any thoughts?

I had the same thing happen a while ago. Finally had to get the guy at Oreilly's to come see what it was doing in the truck, then he replaced it, the new one solved the problem and it's been fine since.

Unhooked batteries and checked voltage on batts seperate, 12.8 volts. Fired up truck, 13.8 volts and worked up to 14.2 volts at batt. Great, loose connection or waiting for it to fail completely, just great.

Yeah go through and just clean up your connections. These trucks run like such garbage on low voltage. When it gets bad enough it will probably start shifting funny too.

I had a diode start to fail and it would be intermittent just like your dealing with

expect it to die altogether soonIMHO
Also don't be driving around at 10 volts you can do more damage than you realize

Clean all your grounds! Drivers side from battery to frame. Passenger side from battery to engine, engine to frame. I had charging issues and this helped fix mine.
