AE isn't the BEST data logger you can get for a pulling truck. Corsa data acquisition is good, but expensive. Racepack also has a good system as does RPM Performance. RPM is mainly geared towards tractor pulling. Fleece Performance Engineering came out with their XDL package not too long ago and they have a fairly comprehensive line of sensors. If you're looking for something cheaper Digitron Data Acquisition has options as well. It all depends what you want, and how good you want your data to be. With AE the resolution of the data will leave a lot to be desired, and I rarely was able to glean useful information from it. With most of the options above you'll spend anywhere from $1500-$3000 for the package. These packages include sensors for fuel pressure, up to 8 egt gauges if you want them, hall effect magnetic sensors for wheel speed (all four wheels if you want), and linear travel sensors.
If I had to guess at this point you're concerned about the tuning parameters of your truck (ICP, PW, Duty Cycle, Mass Fuel Desired, etc.), and don't get me wrong they matter. However, once you get your tuning lined out, what I mentioned above is what matters for pulling.
