Pretty much anything is better than the T6. Alot of people recommend Schaeffers.

You will get a million different suggestions on this. I run Valvoline 5w-40 p/n 70518 and love it.but I have not run any other synthetic oils.

I been running T6 but am switching over to Mobil Delvac 5w-40 Syn. I researched the wear characteristics of all the oils and the T6 came in last but the Mobil syn was just under Amsoil.... so im prolly just gonna go with the mobil (since its readily available in the area) :D

Plenty of reports for T6 show excellent results. Use BOBISTHEOILGUY.com for more scientific results, OA results. Those guys will make your head spin.

any synthetic oil is a good idea...only way you will really tell a difference is to run one for 5k and send a sample in to have it tested...then run another type of synthetic and do the same thing...as far as absolutely telling the differece with an oil just by driving it, i cant really see it having that big of an impact..before the work was done to my truck i always had it changed at the dealer because i didnt know how long i was going to keep it..now that i have all the work done i run amsoil and a bypass kit and have sent in a sampe when the oil was at 11k and they said it could go another 5k with no problem. but as far as telling the difference between whan the dealer changed it and the way amsoil acts in it , honestly i cant tell a difference but im sure the motor itself can whn it comes to oil life..Especially if you do alot of heavy towing, live in a hot climate or run hot tunes all day..heat is the breakdown of any fluids so Like i say, send a sample in. Youll feel much better about your oil that way :toast:

I run amsoil 5w-40 with a bypass and love it. I noticed the motor is quieter. I'm an amsoil dealer if you wanna order any just shoot me a pm.

Also run amsoil in mine. Won't run anything else, and have tried many. truck is quieter, smoother, and seems to start so much better. Also an amsoil dealer if you're intrested in ordering anything.
