The guys with white trucks like them black with no red visible even in the sunlight so I do there 's in 3 coats but I like the 2 coats on anything else. 2 coats and in the sunlight the red will come through some like a black cherry color but look black when the suns not on them. 3 coats looks like those old smoked tail covers people put on and stay like that. This is 1 coat which has quite a bit of red comming thru. he wanted the black cherry look to go with his maroon superduty. I was just seeing what they looked like on my old red truck before he picked them up.
