block heater plug location

Its getting colder than a sum beech now and I was looking for the block heater plug, but I can't find it. I though all diesels came with that option? No? yes? Its starts fine, but damn does that sum beech sound like its coming apart at first!

Some 6.0's came with the cord and some didn't.. If you have one it should be in and around your left tow hook looking towards the front of the truck. They all come with the heater but not all have cords..

Block heater is on passenger side of block towards the rear. Best way to access/install cord is to try to go in through the fender well. I could access mine from under the truck but couldn't ensure a good enough connection because I had no leverage to push it on the heater pins. There was a lot of corrosion around and on the pins of heater due to never having a plug installed for the previous 9 years.

Behind bumper on passenger tow hook as said before, I know my buddies had clips for it to clip into on the inside and I couldn't find the cord

Could someone post a pic of what this looks like? Is it just a basic looking plug? Like the end of an extension cord? I don't think mine came with the plug.

All the plugs I've seen on the 6.0s look more round then the 7.3s and most replacements. Just look on the frame near the bumper on the passenger side it'll probably be the only dead end wire if it's their.
