Cam removal and install!

Looking at throwing an aftermarket cam/valve springs/push rods and lifters in my 08, need some info on cam removal, do you have to remove engine/crank to remove cam like on the 6.0? And do they make a tool for the 6.4 to replace valve springs without removing cylinder heads? Thanks.

There's a tool to do valve springs with the heads on. Just put the piston to top dead center.

You don't need to pull the crank to get the cam out either. But you have to remove the crank adapter. Just make sure you mark where the alignment hole is or you will have a vibration.
