How in the eff are you supposedly to get this bolt off to remove the dash??? It's completely loose except right there. It's where the ac duct attaches to the dash and there's nothing to remove up top ar anything to access it.

pull the whole dash out steel frame and all should be able to get to it from back side. the factory assembles them as a complete assembly then installs it in the truck. drop the column 5 10 mm bolts a dozen wire connectors couple 7 mm screws and one 8 comes out as an assembly super easy

That bolt doesn't have to come out on a complete assembly dash removal. Unless something has been modified we can't see in the pic.

I got it. Dropped the steering column and pulled the bolts out of the metal dash part and was able to get to it. That's crazy that the entire plastic piece could come off by itself if it weren't for that one bolt. The rest of them I had out in less than 20 minutes. At a minimum they could've just had the bolt head face the other way. So dumb.

I always just pull the whole dash as one piece then disassemble. Much easier that way but you will need 2 people to drop and remove the dash from the truck.
