I was thinking they would take less also, who knows. Really has me thinking about finding one like it and shortening it. I guess im going to have to start looking. Just have to decide weather I want a 400 to 500 hp CCSB 6 speed 7.3 or a Regular cab short box 6.4.

Lol ya it is. Ive always wanted a Crew Cab Short Bed 6 speed 7.3 with a decent amount of power BUT after Seeing some of the regular cab short beds latley on here it makes me want one of them also. Imelmo's truck really made me want one. Ha I just need more money so I could buy both. Just dont know if I can get by without a Crew Cab.

Be able to haul people and use it effectively as a work truck and to pull a trailer or like you said Run low 12s maybe high 11s in the quarter on just a tune. The problem is I always have people with me and the crew cab comes in nice. Idk how well a Reg Cab Short Box would pull a trailer, probably not to bad. I just use my Truck for more than a race Car, thats why its a big decision.

Trust me that changes when you get a reg cab. People learn to drive themselves

Thats what I bought this year with 10k less miles and for about 3k less. My wifes got the excursion so I said screw it Im getting back into a regular cab. Heck Id almost sell mine with the mods for about 2K more then what they are asking just casue Ive found a wrecked 6.4 that Im wanting to swap into my 89. I know what you mean about the driving everytime our group goes out the excursion gets called into duty and no body ever thinks to chip in on diesel. Put 80 miles on last night with 7 guys in there and not one offered any coin for fuel. FYI my standard cab long bed hooks pretty good with caltracs and just pulled a trailer 24 hours just fine.

I Have an X also and every one just thinks I'll drive every where and fuel is free. Me and the wife are talking about selling it just for that reason and getting A reg cab for me and her drive my crew cab.

Ya Im going to keep my eyes open for a good regular cab 6.4 and maybe just keep the 7.3. But you guys are right, The crew cab pretty much just means that your driving weather you like it or not.
