Cleaning intake manifold

I really want a ported manifold, but its not in the budget right now.

Does anyone know a good technique to clean the build up from the inside of the passages? Acid dipping? Pressure washing?

We usually spend about 30 minutes on em at work with a heated pressure washer and they come out without a spot of carbon left on em.
