I'm doing a ccv reroute and want to clean the intercooler as well...is it possible to do so without taking it out of the truck?

How does everyone clean theirs?

Take it out and get some powdered tide , purple power and hot water . Fill it up , shake it as much as you can and flush till its clear . If its real dirty rinse and repeat . I used a gas powered leaf blower to help the drying out process but prop it up where all the water is going to come out on its own over night.

I did mine(7.3)but I was more worried about the cooling fins. Mine were pretty clogged up with grease, dirt, feathers and all kinds of other muck. After cleaning you could now see light through the fins. After cleaning my egts during cruising at 65-70 mph dropped about 50-100 degrees. So for me it was worth cleaning the outside since it was so clogged up with crap.
