I have notice that on my 05 2wd the speedometer will stop working and my odometer will just freeze and not change and stay at the same miles. And then when it works the odometer starts working again but my speed is restricted to 85mph. Any clue what it might be??

Sounds like it missing VSS input, if you can can a scanner and look at the data stream for MPH and see if it has a signal. So if it doesn't go to the rear axle and look at the wires from the VSS, seem most times its a problem with the wiring from VSS or it could be the sensor. That's were I'd start.

My older 06 had a similar problem. The speedo would freeze around 40-65 and the lights would go out. I would start the truck in test mode and it would all go away. I would have to do it every few thousand miles.
