Truck: 99, 550, dump, super chip, van turbo, centerforce clutch.

ok so this truck is only used on weeks for halling an mini excavator (5 ton) to do occasional side jobs. maybe an occasional run to home depot or something like that.

So the question is: is it time for a clutch or do I have something else going on.

In high gear around 2500 the clutch will slip. I don't really understand this the clutch does not have that much mileage on it.

is it possible that the master or the slave cylinder is not releasing all the way. it is an aftermarket one (I think from autozone) ya I know this is my first mistake. I was in the middle of a job and had no choice.

is it possible to check and see if the slave is releasing all the way.

any thoughts or questions

Can you remove and install the slave from the bell housing easily? If you can I don't think it's your issue.
