So the other day I noticed my truck had a large puddle of liquid underneath after being parked overnight. I looked underneath and it looks like it's dripping from some belt driven pump/pressure system on the bottom of the engine on drivers side...any ideas what this is? It looks like it's on the bottom of the engine on that pump, but it could be dripping from higher up if that doesn't make sense. Looks like my coolant tank is empty

Thanks for your help.

Yea housing is pretty simple. Could just be here the radiator hose hooks to it also. You still have the factory spring clamp on the hose, or is there a different clamp? If it isn't the factory one, try tightening the clamp.

Well now I realize that it only leaks after I have run the cab heater. Yet for the life of me I can't figure out where it is leaking. Took the whole intake off and several other lines (as mentioned before, leak is on driver side) and looked down in there, everything looked ok. It is not leaking in the cab, so is it the hoses running to/from the heater core? Won't be using the heater much more (love this Cali weather), but I would still like to get it fixed for peace of mind.

btw, who's the dbag that designed the stock air intake system? They should be banished from all future designing endeavors.

Once temps are up, watch all around the degas bottle. Could be a crack in it. Hoses could be leaking where they attach. Trace all your coolant lines.

All else fails have dye ran through it. That'll show where the leak is.

The "tee" connection under the degas bottle also is prone to crack and leak. The tee is integrated into that hose so you have to buy the whole hose to fix it.
