Coolant pressure

What would cause my truck to keep pressure on the coolant system hours after the truck was started ? Its been nine hours since my truck was running and I opened the cap and fhdfe was still pressure. Bad rad cap? I shut the egr off on my tuner even tho it's still on the truck.. Could that cause it?

Thats how it works, means there is no leaks, and system is sealed. As long as its not venting, or has a ton of pressure behin it, like what seems to be 20psi, you should be fine.

Sorry, i took pain pills last night. It could be the cap. Are you talking a bunch of pressure, or just a couple psi or so?
