T4 Mount and s468

Both of those will run with those injectors but they will need detuned. 38r cost as much as an s468. By the time you buy a delete pedestal and bellowed up pipes you will be out almost as much. The d66 isnt really gonna be any more durable then your stocker.

With 250/200s ide definately go with a t4 mount. The d66 and 38r obviously still use stock style pedistals. Which leaves NO room to grow. And unless you find a deal on used turbos, they are still gonna be at least $1k+. Spend the little axtra coin and get a t4 mount kit with bellowed up pipes. Then you have ALOT of turbo possibilities.

I'll agree on the t4 set-up like this one below......:naughty:

But if you run our BRUTE 66 (our version of the d66) and our tuning we will warranty the turbo for 1 year.

The BRUTE will cost less upfront but the t4 will allow for future modding.
It really depends on your goals down the road.

You can get the DIY D66 kit for around $700. So its about half the price of a 38r and re-buildable.

If i were to go out tomorrow and buy a turbo i think it'd be a S468 or S471 built to be 2.5 legal. They'd be about the perfect size for 250/200%'s and not be too laggy.

I would skip the drop ins and go right to a T4 mount kit. You can do a 366 for stock injectors and if you upgrade ever you have many choices for a larger turbo. If I could go back 5 years, I would have gotten a T4 turbo setup and just skipped the whole 38R thing.

From someone who has that exact setup, I wish I would have gone with the T4 and S468.

Don't get me wrong, my truck runs great, and a friend with the exact setup has ran a 12.7. Its definitely fast, but he took me riding in his truck a couple days ago, (he has switched from the 38R to an S468) and there is no comparison. That thing hits and pulls HARD!

Call Matt at Full Force. He will get you a great deal on a T4 and S468. He also has that setup on his daily driver truck, and can tell you more about it than most anyone here.

Would it be worth skipping the 38R going right to the 468 even with 238/100s?

If money is no option, yes. I would.

But if you never plan to go any bigger than those injectors, I would just get a 38R. Only reason I'd pick the S468 over the 38R, is the more room to grow down the road.

I can say that an S468 with 238/100's is a decent set up. One of our customers was running an 8.20 in an 1/8th with that set up and a weak hpop. These turbos do like bigger injectors though :naughty:

Imo the 38r and d66 should be run with a stock-100% nozzle. Iv ran 250/100 and 300/200 on a 38r and I loved the 250/100s that combo runs awesome spools instantly and pulls decent up top, very fun to drive no smoke at all and runs cool. The 300/200s made more power but were hot and Smokey with the 38r as David said it ran strong as $$@# ran a 12.68 with a 7.9 1/8 mile at 7800lbs. I switched to the 468 and its a world of difference up top that turbo hits hard!! And spools great to If a 200% nozzle is what you want to run I would go T4 all day hands down. I'm not easy on my truck by any means and its my daily driver farm truck, tow heavy also. Has great street manners with the 300/200s and the 468
